Researcher: Machine Learning for Text Xerox Research Centre Europe is looking for an experienced researcher for its Text Analytics area. The successful candidate will create - in collaboration with the rest of the team - novel machine learning algorithms for textual data, and help integrate this research - with the help of our advanced development lab - to our business units including healthcare, litigation, customer care and finance. We expect this research to be top-conference and journal material and are looking for candidates that have a proven record of such publications. Minimum Qualifications: - Ph.D. degree in machine learning or related area. - At least 5 years' experience with algorithms for text processing. More senior candidates will also be considered. - Strong development skills. - Strong publication track record in major machine learning or NLP conferences and journals. - Solid communication skills in English. - Highly motivated by and interested in the impact of research in real-world applications. Previous experience with interactive settings, for instance involving sequential decision theory, online learning, non-stationary data, dialogue and natural language generation, is highly desirable, as is previous experience of government-funded projects.
