Customer Matrix, a company specialized in intelligent CRM solutions, is
looking for an expert in computational linguistics in Chinese to join
its NLP R&D team, in Caen or Paris.

Missions:
Specify, design and develop NLP applications for Chinese (mainly) and
other languages, relying on our methodology and software
platform. Participate to the evolution of the platform by developing new
generic NLP components. Participate in research projects in
collaboration with academic laboratories.

Required skills:
Very good level in Chinese (at least Mandarin, Cantonese is a plus),
native speakers would be preferred. Good level in French or English.
Experience with NLP tools, ability to elaborate linguistic models on
corpora and to implement it using specific formalisms (formal grammars,
automatons, rules, etc.).
Good Java programatic skills required.
General knowledge about ML algorithms applied to NLP
General knowledge in linguistics, knowledge management, RDF, etc.
Good social skills, ability to interact with coworkers and customers.

Profile:
Master or PhD (preferred) in computer sciences, with a specialty in NLP
or a very close subject.
Some experience on NLP projects, in a private company or an university
laboratory.
You should be reactive, creative and able to quickly assimilate new
technologies.
An expertise in a very specific area of NLP (syntax, discourse, etc.)
and/or additional languages would be highly regarded.

Position:
The position may be in Caen (Normandy) or in Paris (if in Paris regular
trips to Caen are to be expected). It is a permanent position with a
trial period. The position can quickly evolve, depending on the need of
the company.
