Description:

Voxygen is a young and innovative company, created in September 2011,
and located in the Lannion and Rennes areas, France.

Experts in the field of speech synthesis and linguistics work together
to develop speech synthesis products and services for European, Arabic,
African, American markets, with a particular focus on the creation of
expressive voices for industrial and entertainment purposes.
The speech synthesis solution is widely deployed in voice servers and
mobile applications and operates in a large range of environments: PCs
and servers (Windows, Linux, MacOS) and mobile devices (Android, Windows
Mobile, iPhone OS, Symbian).
Voxygen is currently working on adding Japanese to its catalogue of
offers.

Job description:
- Validation of sentences correctness for script creation: verification
  of orthography, grammar, readability and phonetic transcription.
- Assist company experts with native language expertise during script
  recording sessions.
- Revision of automatic phonetization and segmentation of recorded
  script sentences.

Job Requirements:
- Fluent in spoken Japanese.
- Thorough knowledge of the language grammar and orthography.
- Keen ear for phonetic nuances.
- A degree in any language-related field such as linguistics,
  translation, language teaching, will be helpful.
- Knowledge of the target language phonetics or previous experience with
  TTS will be a definite plus.
- Computer skills would be very welcome.
- Keen interest for language and technology.
- Must be able to work with spoken English or French;
- Appreciates working in a team spirit.

Contract duration: 6 months with a possible extension, starting as soon
as possible, end of April 2016.
