Context

Bluenove develops the collaborative plateform Assembl to manage
citizen debates about societal issues. The collaboration with the
Almanach team aims to extend Assembl with intelligent modules for a
better management and exploitation of the discussions. These modules
will in particular rely on fine-grained linguistic analysis of the
discussions.

Engineer position

The engineer will work closely with the post-doctorant but also with
the development team at Bluenove.

The main objectives of the position are:

    to facilitate the integration of NLP and AI modules within Assembl
    (clean APIs, access to forum data and external data [linked data,
    data streams, aggregators], communication with participants and
    moderators)

    to participate to the evaluation of several technologies, for
    example for managing chatbots or for using speech recognition

    to help the post-doctorant in software developments and experimentations.

    to progressively integrate the first modules in production mode
    for a few test debates

    to get feedback from the participants about these modules.

Profile:
    excellent programming skills, specially on WEB technologies
    javascript/CSS frameworks, [SQL] databases, WEB APIs [REST,
    websockets, ...], XML/RDF

    knowledge in NLP and/or Machine Learning

    knowledge of Python and/or Perl

    Good language level in French or English

Duration: 12 months

Salary: ~ 2600 Euros/month (gross salary), depending on experience

Location: shared between INRIA Paris (12th arrondissement) and Bluenove (Paris)
