The TALC project of INRIA Nancy (http://www.inria.fr/nancy/) has an opening for an R&D engineer position within the framework of the CPER project MISN. This project aims to provide systems, tools and resources for the automated processing of natural language, speech and graphical / 3D environments. The engineer will work in tight interaction with the researchers of the TALC teams namely, Talaris, Calligramme, Orpailleur, Read, Qgar, Kiwi and Parole. Keywords: Natural language processing, web services, 3D environments Job Description: The engineer will help developing, packaging and showcasing the resources, tools and systems developed by the TALC researchers in the areas of text, speech and image processing. In particular, he/she will help packaging and documenting software created by the project ; specifying and implementing new applications and resources in interaction with TALC researchers; and developing web services / demonstrators for tools and/or resources developed by the researchers. The ideal candidate * has advanced knowledge of software engineering and web technologies (XML, PhP, HTML, SQL) * has an advanced level in Java and Perl or Python development * is interested in Natural Language Processing * has good knowledge of Linux * speaks English and French ; * is a hard worker and has good team spirit!
