In particular, this demonstrator aims to demonstrate the ability to ensure safe flight back and landing. All the outcomes of this demonstration will contribute to preparing more autonomous aircraft of the next decade. On top of these technical challenges, this demonstration has to be achieved in less than 30months. Team spirit, proactivity and pragmatism will be the key ingredients to make this unique journey successful. Main missions: DragonFly team is searching for her/his Natural Language Processing (NLP) applied scientist (m/f) to orientate the choices for speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and text-to-meaning applications in the frame of the demonstrator. As such, the jobholder will have to : Research, design, implement and integrate NLP based solutions for communication with Air Traffic Control (ATC) and understanding of Air Traffic Management (ATM) informations (e.g. TAF, ATIS, METAR, NOTAM) Coordinate the interactions with existing NLP projects and ensure proper integration of their solutions Drive the developments, from code to installation on flight test aircraft, in cooperation with the project's software and aircraft architects Evaluate and report performances to prepare flight testing The job holder will also take part in the design, implementation, validation and flight clearance of solutions enabled by the NLP bricks. Your Boarding Pass: As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate some or all of the following skills and competencies: Ph.D. in Machine Learning, or related discipline. Experience in development and/or tuning of NLP algorithms Publication records at top academic conferences such as ACL, ICML, AISTATS, ICLR, KDD, CCS, PETS, etc. would be a plus. Familiar with Python and C++ Previous experience or willing to develop competencies on project management and coordination with partners and/or suppliers. Written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in integrated team with AGILE method Proficiency level B2 in English is required Especially: Passionate about exploring new areas, working on equations and quickly implementing innovative ideas and concepts.
