Two postgraduate positions on Natural Language Processing at HiTZ research center (Basque Country) Start date: Early 2021 or soon afterwards, flexible Duration: 1 year (extensible up to 3 years) Requirements: MSc or PhD in computer science/engineering, background in Deep Learning and NLP Net Salary: around 33,000¤ or 37,000¤ (respectively). Applications are invited for two postgraduate research posts at the newly created HiTZ research center (http://hitz.eus) in the context of two European projects: SIGN ON, a H2020 project on automatic translation between sign and oral languages https://www.adaptcentre.ie/news/signon-project-secures-5.6m-in-horizon-2020-funding (to start January 2021) ANTIDOTE, a CHIST-ERA project on explainable AI for digital medicine (to start in April 2021) There will be additional openings in Spring. Successful candidates are expected to have excellent programming skills, as well as a background in deep learning and natural language processing or a related area. Knowledge of local languages (Basque, Spanish) are a plus. The successful candidate will be integrated in the HiTZ research center, a leading text processing center comprising research groups with more than 25 years of experience in NLP and speech.
