We are looking for a Language Engineer to join the Sonos Language team
in Paris and help us build the Sonos Voice Experience.

Location: Paris (France), or remote (France, UK)

What you'll do

    -   Manage, process and provide insights about large amounts of
        textual and audio data
    -   Use your linguistic and software knowledge to build the tooling
        backbone to support our team of linguists in the vast variety
        of tasks they tackle
    -   Collaborate with teammates and other teams in defining
        guidelines and workflows to efficiently share and leverage
        language data
    -   Put your flexibility to work by tackling new tasks and
        operating in a challenging, yet exciting environment

Skills you need

    -   Degree in Linguistics with a specialization in Language
        Engineering or Computational Linguistics, or other meaningful
        experience
    -   2+ years of previous experience working with language data
    -   Proficiency in scripting, querying and/or analytics tools, such
        as MongoDB, SQL, Python, R, bash, or similar
    -   Good working knowledge of the structural aspects of a given
        language (morphology, syntax, semantics, phonology, phonetics)
    -   Ability to formalize, analyze and solve complex problems
    -   Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English

Preferred

    -   Experience with Speech Technologies, Natural Language
        Understanding, Automatic Translation, Information Extraction,
        Knowledge Representation / Ontologies
    -   Working knowledge of a language other than English and your
        native language
