Post-doctoral positions available in NLP/linguistics, Paris area, France LATTICE (http://www.lattice.cnrs.fr/) is a CNRS research unit in linguistics and natural language processing based in the Paris area. Several visiting post-doctoral positions are available at Lattice through the Fernand Braudel IFER exchange programme (http://www.fmsh.fr/fr/c/5801). All areas of linguistics and natural language processing will be considered, with a preference for proposals at the interface between these two domains, for example: - compositional distributional semantics - automatic lexical acquisition - visualizing lexical semantics networks - computational approaches of language acquisition - computational metaphor processing - modelling language evolution - natural language processing for social sciences - etc. To be eligible, candidates must hold a PhD since less than 6 years and should not have stayed in France more than 12 months in the last 3 years. The grant is 2000 euros / month for 9 months beginning in 2015 (the starting date is flexible but should be preferably in Spring 2015). Candidates are expected to work closely with the research group at Lattice but will also have a large autonomy to develop their own project independently. Working language can be either French or English. To apply, please send first a CV and a brief summary of your research project to Thierry Poibeau (thierry.poibeau@ens.fr) preferably before 31 August 2014. The final selection will be made by the IFER committee based on a full application form to be sent before 30 September 2014. Thierry Poibeau http://www.lattice.cnrs.fr/Thierry-Poibeau
