The Talaris team of INRIA Nancy (http://www.inria.fr/nancy/) has an
opening for a postdoc position (up to 3 years) within the framework of
the Eurostars project "EmoSpeech". This project brings together
academic and industrial European partners and aim to augment 3D games
with natural language capabilities.

Job Description:

The EmoSpeech project aims to extend 3D games with natural language
capabilities in particular, spoken and written dialog.

The role of the selected candidate will be to participate in the
development of a dialog system for French and in its integration in a
3D game. He/she will work at the LORIA research unit, in Nancy, a nice
modern city, located at the heart of Europe, close to Paris,
Strasbourg, Luxembourg and Saarbrücken. He/she will be part of the
Talaris team, a dynamic research team of 15 people, involved in
various regional, national and international research projects in
Natural Language Processing. He/she will benefit from the lab
infrastructure and from a stimulating environment. He/she will work
and stay in close contact with other researchers and professors of the
lab as well as with the other organizations involved in the project.

The ideal candidate:
* has a PhD or Master in Computational linguistics or Computer science
  (or another close and relevant discipline);
* has good programming skills;
* is interested in Natural Language Processing and has a tangible
  experience or knowledge of the field of Dialog systems, robust
  interpretation and/or 3D games;
* speaks English and French ;
* is a hard worker and has good team spirit!
